Frequently Asked Questions

What is the enrolment deadline for 2026?

The standard deadline for enrolment data entry into ETO is the end of May each year. Enrolments should be entered within 10 business of the activity. For sites that need additional time, the enrolment cut-off this has been extended to 30 June 2026.

Why was the enrolment cut-off date extended?

The extension recognises that some sites are experiencing recruitment challenges due to:

  • Cost-of-living pressures affecting families
  • Families returning to work
  • Other competing commitments

It also aims to:

  • Provide a more achievable timeframe
  • Support sites during network changes
  • Allow time to replace early exits and top up number

Do all sites automatically get the extension?

The extension is available to sites that need it. Sites that have already met their targets can continue as planned.

Do contractual enrolment targets still apply?

Yes. All sites are still expected to:

  • Work towards their contractual targets set out in sub-licence and funding agreements
  • Continue active recruitment efforts

Why is meeting enrolment targets important?

Meeting targets:

  • Supports reporting to DSS
  • Strengthens advocacy for future program funding
  • Helps ensure HIPPY continues to support children and families effectively

What should sites focus on during the extension period?

Sites should:

  • Keep recruitment activities active
  • Engage families who may be ready later
  • Replace participants where there have been early exits

What if my site is struggling with recruitment?

If you are experiencing challenges:

  • Reach out to your Site Advisor
  • Discuss strategies or support options available to you

What if my site has already met its enrolment target?

Thank you—your efforts are making a real impact. You are helping more families access HIPPY and supporting strong program outcomes.

How does this update affect reporting to DSS?

The extension allows time to finalise enrolment numbers while still supporting accurate reporting to DSS, ensuring the program’s impact is clearly demonstrated.
